Gainesville, Florida, Saturday March 17th 1917

Range 19, thence south to the line dividing Alachua and
Marion Counties;
   And to have constructed within said district certain
permanent roads and bridges as in said petition set forth
and named, and to be constructed of the material therein
named, and setting forth the estimated cost of said roads
and bridges;
   And Whereas said petitioners requested that the cost of
the construction of said roads and bridges should be paid
by the issue and sale of bonds to the sum of $500,000.00
which said bonds were to be of the denomination of $1000\00
each, bearing interest at the rate of 5% per annum, said
interest payable semi-annually and maturing as in said petition
named;
  And Whereas said petitioners requested that said roads
should not be less than 16 feet in width the same to be
hard surfaced and to be constructed under contract to the
lowest responsible bidder who should give bond in a sufficient
amount for the faithful performance of his contract;
  And Whereas said petitioners request that no part of the
money arising from the sale of the bonds should be paid
to any member of this Board or of the Bond Trustees for
any services that may be rendered by them in connection with
the construction of said roads and bridges; that the Control,
supervision, care and maintenance of said roads should be
vested in said trustees;
  And Whereas said petitioners requested this Board to
constitute and appoint W.D. Taylor, F.J. Hammond and H.C.
Parker as bond trustees for said District;
  And Whereas since the signing of said petitions H.C.
Parker, one of the trustees therein named has departed this life;
  And Whereas petitions have been filed requesting this
Board to substitute and appoint in the place and stead of
the said H.C. Parker, deceased, J.E. Haynesworth as trustee;
  And Whereas it appears to this Board that said petitions
are in all respects strictly in accordance with the require-
ments of the law, and it further appearing after a careful
investigation by this Board that said petitions have been
duly signed by more than 25% of the registered voters
who are free- holders residing within said territory;
  And it is the duty of this Board to order an Election
