Rent for four and a half (4 1/2) acres of Land more or less on what is
known as the Douglas Place in said State and County and in
order to secure the payment of said Rent I do hereby agree and
promise that this Instrument of writing shall be and operate as
a first lien or mortgage on all crops of Corn Cotton Potatoes
Fodder &C raised or produced or cause to be raised or produced on said
