Leander C. Doane the full amount of said note together with interest according
to its tenor and effect then this instrument to be void else to remain in full force and
virtue and it is hereby further agreed that should it become necessary to enforce
this instrument by legal proceedings the said Fred Robinson will pay therefor all

    State of Florida } Know all men by these presents that whereas
    Alachua County   } James Gainey Jr of the above State and County is
indebted to Leander C. Doane of the same State and County in the sum
of one hundred and forty three 24/100 dollars which the said sum is covenanted
to be paid by one certain promissory note bearing date with these presents and for
the said sum of One Hundred and Forty three & 24/100 dollars bearing interest at the
rate of ten percent per annum due Nov 1st 1886 Now therefore to better
secure the payment of said note and interest as expressed therein I do by
these presents grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Leander C.
Doane his heirs and assigns all my right title interest and claim of
in and to all crops of whatsoever species kind or description now
growing or which may hereafter be planted grown or gathered by me
or for me or for my benefit on or off of any and all lands in Alachua
County Florida. Also the following described property to wit. One Bay
mare about 8 years old maned Julia also one Sorrel Horse named
Selim all now in my possession. To Have and to Hold all and singular
the crops lands and personal property above bargained and sold unto
the said Leander C. Doane his heirs executors administrators and
assigns forever Provided nevertheless that if the said James Gainey Jr
should well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Leander
C. Doane the full amount of said note together with the interest
according to its tenor and effect then this instrument to be void
