         This Indenture made the 16th day of December in the year
of our Lourd one thousand eight hundred and Eighty five Between
William Walker and Susan Walker his wife of the first part and
Leander C. Doane all of Alachua County Florida of the second part
Whereas the said William Walker is justly indebted to Leander C. Doane
of the second part in the sum of Four Hundred and Fifty seven 54/100
Dollars lawful money of the United States of America for which they
have given their promissory note to wit
Copy, On the first day of November 1886 We promise to pay Leander
C. Doane or order the sum of Four hundred and fifty seven 54/100
Dollars with interest at the rate of ten per cent per annum
