           This Indenture made this nineteenth day of May Anno Domini
Eighteen Hundred and Eighty Six between Sarah E. Maxwell and D.E. Maxwell her husband
in right of his wife the said Sarah E. Maxwell of the City of Fernandina County of Nassau
and State of Florida parties of the first part and Ferdinand W. Peck of the City of
Chicago County of Cook and the State of Illinois party of the second part Whereas
the said parties of the first part are justly indebted to the said party of the
second part in the sum of Two Thousand dollars lawful money of the United States
of America evidenced by a certain promissory note in writing of which the 
following is a true copy
$2000 00/.100                    Jacksonville Fla May 19 - 1886
                 Two years after date we promise to pay Ferdinand W. Peck or
order Two thousand dollars with interest at the rate of Eight per cent per annum
from date until paid value received Interest payable annually

Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for the
better securing the payment of said sum of money mentioned in said promissory
note with interest to be due thereon and also for and in consideration of
the sum of one dollar to them in hand paid by said party of the
second part at or before the unsealing and delivery of these presents the
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have bargained sold aliened
revised released conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do grant
bargain sell alien receive release convey and confirm unto the said
party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever all those
certain lots tracks or parcels of land lying being situated in the County of
Alachua State of Florida and known and described on the public maps
and records of said State as all that part of Section ten (10) which lies
East of Santa Fe Lake and being the Eastern portion of lot numbered three
(3) in said section containing four (4) acres of land more or less, also
Fractional Section Eleven (11) containing twenty four (24) acres of land
more or less Also lot numbered one (1) of Section Fourteen (14) containing
fifty six (56) acres more or less all of the foregoing described land
being in Township Nine (9) South of Range Twenty two (22) East and
being the same parcels of land that were conveyed to one Alexander
Goodson by deed bearing date November 18 - 1871 executed by William
P. Boulware. Also the East half of the North East quarter of Section
Fifteen (15) in Township Nine (9) South of Range twenty two (22) East Containing
Eighty (80) acres of land more or less and being the same tract or parcel of land Conveyed
to the said Alexander Goodson by Samuel A. Swann and wife by deed bearing
date of April 28, 1873. All of which said tracts or parcels of land
contain in the aggregate one hundred and sixty four (164) acres more
or less. Together with all and singular the tenements hereditaments and
appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and
the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues
