Ernest G. Spencer }
                 An Indenture made this the 9th day of November
AD 1886 between J.R. Slingerland of the County of Columbia State of
New York by Robert Lock of the County of Alachua State of Florida his
Agent of the one part and Ernest G. Spencer of the County of Alachua
State of Florida of the other part, Whereas the said Robert Lock
Agent &c has demised and Let and he does hereby demise and
Lease his farm Situated in last mentioned County and State de
scribed as SE1/4 of NW1/4 Sec 5 T8 SR18E the same being a
part of the Bowman plantation together with dwelling and out
houses with all the privileges and appurtenances to the same belong
ing. To have and to Hold the same to him the said Ernest G. Spen
cer for and during the term of one year with the privilege or
preference of renting for the next year if the property is not sold
before the expiration of the first term of Lease.
And the following are the terms, Conditions and provisions of said
Lease, The rent of said farm for the said term shall be fifty
dollars which said Ernest G. Spencer Shall pay to said J.R.
Slingerland according to a certain promissory note dated
herewith, The said Ernest G. Spencer Shall Keep the premises
in good repair, and deliver up the Same to said J.R. Slingerland
at the end of the term in reasonably good order, fire and
unavoidable casualties excepted. And all the grants covenants
and Conditions herein Contained, shall extend to and be bind
ing on the legal representatives of the parties respectively as
well as themselves. In testimony whereof we have set
our hands and seals this 9th day of November AD 1886
