               County of Alachua}  Know all men by these 
presents That whereas I, Charles Young of above State and County 
am indebted to Annie L. Barton of the same State and County in 
the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars lawful money of the United 
States which said sum is expressed in one certain promissory note 
bearing date Nov 5th 1886 and for the Sum of one hundred and
fifty dollars and falling due on July 5th AD 1886 with interest at 
Twelve pr ct Now therefore to better secure Said Annie L. Barton in 
full payment of said note and interest as Expressed I do by these 
presents grant bargain sell and Convey unto the said Annie L. Barton
her heirs and assigns all my right title interest and Claim of in and to 
all the __ of whatever species Kind or description now growing or which 
may hereafter be, Also the following described property to wit: 
One light Brown horse Mule called Dave just purchased from
said Annie L. Barton and one bright sorrel Mare with a blaze
in face one white foot called Mary 
To have and to Hold all and Singular the __ and personal property 
above bargained and sold unto the said Annie L. Barton her heirs 
Executors administrators and assigns forever, Provided nevertheless that 
if the said Charles Young should well and truly pay or cause to 
to be Paid unto the said Annie L. Barton the full amount of 
said note together with the interest according to its tenor 
and effect then this instrument to be void else to remain in 
full force and Virtue. And it is hereby further agreed that should 
it become necessary to enforce this instrument by legal proceed
ings the Said Charles Young will pay therefor all Attorneys fees 
Charges and expenses. In Witness Whereof I hereunto set my hand 
and affix my seal this fifth day of November A.D. 1886         his
