E.C. Pound }
State of Florida } Know all men by these presents that whereas C.G.
Alachua County } Perry of the above State and County is indebted to
E.C. Pound of the same State and County in the sum of Sixty five
dollars bearing interest at the rate of __ Now therefore to better secure
the payment of said note and interest as Expressed therein I do by
these presents grant bargain sell and convey unto the said E.C. Pound
his heirs and assigns all my right title interest and claim in 1 Deep
Chestnut Sorrel horse named Rody. To have and to Hold all
and singular the personal property above bargained and sold
unto the said E.C. Pound heirs Executors administrators and
assigns forever. Provided nevertheless that if the said C.G. Perry
should well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said
E.C. Pound the full amount of said note together with the inter
est according to its tenor and effect then this instrument to
be void else to remain in full force and virtue. And it is
hereby further agreed that should it become necessary to enforce this
instrument by legal proceedings the said C.G. Perry will pay therefor
all attorneys fees and expenses. In Witness whereof I have hereunto
set my hand and affix my seal this 3rd day of Jan AD 1887
