bargained and sold unto the said T.B. Tillis heirs executors administrators
and assigns forever Provided nevertheless that if the said J.M. Vanlandingham
should well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said T.B. Tillis
the full amount of said account together with the interest according to its
tenor and effect then this instrument to be void else to remain in full 
force and virtue and it is hereby further agreed that should it become
necessary to enforce this instrument by legal proceedings the said J.M.
Vanlandingham will pay therefor all attorney's fees and expenses. In Witness
Whereof I Have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this twenty fifth day of April

       Alachua County   } Whereas I the undersigned Richard B. Taylor of
the aforesaid State and County am justly indebted unto Adolph G.
Kraetzer Jr of the City of Brooklyn in the State of New York
in the sum of Fifteen hundred dollars by my promissory note
bearing date the 17th day of June AD 1886 payable three years after
date and bearing interest form date at the rate of ten (10) per Centum
per annum payable Semiannually and whereas we the said Richard
B. Taylor and Kate A. Taylor his wife are anxious and desirous of
fully and safely securing the payment of said promissory note
according to its legal tenor and effect. Therefore the premises always
to be considered know all men by these presents that we the
said Richard B. Taylor and Kate A. Taylor his wife for and in
consideration of the premises and of the said indebtedness so owing by
the said Richard B. Taylor by the promissory note aforesaid and in
