Ellen T. Walls }
State of Florida } This Indenture made and entered into this first
Alachua County   } day of December 1879 between Sumner Field of the
first part and Ellen T. Walls of the second part both of Alachua County
Florida: Witnesseth that the said Sumner Field party of the first part
for and in consideration of the sum of One dollar to him in hand paid
by the said Ellen T. Walls, party, of the second part at and before the
ensealing and delivery of these presents, and for the purpose of further and
better Securing the payment of his four promissory notes bearing Even
date herewith, each for the sum of one hundred and twenty five dollars
given to the party of the first part and being payable respectively as follows
the first on the first of October 1880, the second on the first of October
1881 the third on the first of October 1882, the fourth on the first of
October 1883, has this day granted bargained and sold, and by these
presents does grant bargain alien and convey unto the said Ellen T. Walls
the following described lands lying and being situate in the County of
Alachua & State of Florida and more particularly described as follows
as the North half of the North East quarter of Section thirty one Town
Ship Seven Range nineteen Containing Eighty acres more or less
also one mare mule about four years old named Jennyand all
Crops now growing or hereafter to be grown by him on the above de
scribed lands or any lands or any interest he may have in any
and all Crops grown cultivated or owned by him as any time in
the future in the County of Alachua and it is further agreed and
understood by the party of the first part that if it should ever be
come necessary in the opinion of the party of the second part to pro
ceed by law to collect the money hereby intended to be secure to pay
all costs and attorneys fees. To have and, to hold the above described
property unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns
forever. The Conditions of the above obligation is such that if the Said
Sumner Field will well and truly pay his four promissory notes
bearing even date herewith each at maturity then this deed is null
& void, notes to be void. In witness whereof the said party of the
first part has hereunto set his hand and seal the year and day above written
