State of Florida  } Know all men by these presents that whereas Anthony
County of Alachua } Porter of above State and County is indebted to
H.C. Parker of the same State and County in the sum of Thirty six 70/100
dollars lawful money of the United States which said Sum is Expressed
in one Certain promissory note bearing date February 12th 1887 and for
the said sum of Thirty Six and 70/100 dollars and falling due on
October 1st AD 1887 with interest at one pr ¢ pr month from date. Now
therefore to better secure said H.C. Parker in full payment of said
Note and interest as Expressed I do by these presents grant bargain
Sell and Convey unto the said H.C. Parker heirs and assigns
all my right title interest and claim of in and to all the crops of
whatsoever species Kind or description now growing or which may
hereafter be planted grown or gathered by me or for me or for
my benefit on or off of any and all lands in Alachua County
Florida. Also the following described property to wit: One Black
Mare Horse about Eight years old named Frozel, one Bay Mare
Horse about four years old named Fashion. To have and to Hold
all and Singular the Crops and personal property above bargained
and sold unto the said H.C. Parker his heirs Executors administra
tors and assigns forever. Provided nevertheless that if the said Anthony
Porter should well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the
said H.C. Parker the full amount of said Note together with the
interest according to its tenor and effect then this instru
ment to be void, Else to remain in full force and virtue
And it is hereby further agreed that should it become necessary
to enforce this instrument by legal proceedings the said Anthony
Porter will pay therefor all attorneys fees charges and Expenses
