CoPartners trading in the City of Charleston in the State of South Car
olina, hereby authorize and Empower W.W. Hampton of Gainesville Florida
our true and lawful attorney for us and in our name upon the
payment of the sum of Seven hundred and Eighty three 46/100 Dollars
by F. James Hammond to satisfy that certain Mortgage Executed
to us the said F.W. Wagener and Geo A. Wagener Copartners as
aforesaid dated the 27th day of October AD 1885 covering all that
piece parcel or tract of land situate lying and being in the County of
Alachua State of Florida to wit: Lying and being in and a part
of the Town of Hawthorn and more particularly described as follows
to wit Lot "A" or one (1) in block number (32) Thirty Two in the Town
of Hawthorn in the County and State aforesaid and bounded as
follows to wit: Bounded on the North by Dawkins Street East
by Johnson Street on the south by land of Ella Hawthorne and
on the west by land of Mrs F.E. Hawthorne, Consisting or Con-
taining One half acre of "land more or less," and do whatever we
             in the premises
ourselves could do^when personally present, In testimony
whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this
