State of Florida  } Know all men by these presents, that whereas Geo Gainey
County of Alachua } and Martha Gainey his wife of the above State and County 
is indebted to Leander C. Doane of the same State and County in the sum 
of Ninety Eight and 56/100 dollars which said Sum is covenanted to be 
paid by one certain promissory note bearing date April 19th 1886 and 
for the said Sum of Ninety Eight & 56/100 dollars bearing interest at the rate 
of ten per cent per annum,    Now therefore to better secure the payment 
of said note and interest as expressed therein, we do by these presents grant 
bargain sell and convey unto the said Leander C. Doane his heirs and assigns 
all my right title interest and claim of in and to all Crops of whatsoever 
Species Kind or description now growing or which may hereafter be planted 
grown or gathered by me or for me or for my benefit on or off of any 
and all lands in Alachua County Florida. Also the following property 
to wit: The following described lot of land lying and being in Alachua
Co State of Florida to wit: The South West Quarter (SW 1/4) of North West
Quarter (of NW 1/4) Section four (S4) Township Eight (Tp 8) Range twenty (R20)
Forty acres more or less, Also one work Ox (bought of Wallace Mills)
To have and to Hold all and singular the Crops lands and personal property 
above bargained and sold unto the said Leander C. Doane his heirs Ex
ecutors administrators and assigns forever: Provided nevertheless that if the 
said Geo Gainey and Martha Gainey his wife should well and truly pay or 
Cause to be paid unto the said Leander C. Doane the full amount of said note 
together with the interest according to its tenor and effect then this instrument 
to be void, else to remain in full force and virtue, And it is hereby further 
agreed that should it become necessary to enforce this instrument by legal 
proceedings the said Geo Gainey & Martha Gainey his wife will pay therefor 
all attorneys fees and Expenses: In witness whereof we hereunto set 
our hand and affixed our seal the nineteenth day of April AD 1886    his
