State of Florida  } Know all men by these presents that whereas Kelly Flynn
County of Alachua } of the above State and County is indebted to Nathan C. Pettit 
of the same State and County in the sum of Sixty five 58/100 dollars which said 
Sum is covenanted to be paid by Certain promissory note bearing date February 3rd 
AD 1887 and for the said sum of Sixty five 58/100 dollars bearing interest at the rate 
of ten per cent per annum until paid, Now therefore to better secure the payment 
of said note and interest as expressed therein do by these presents grant bargain 
sell and Convey unto the said Nathan C. Pettit his heirs and assigns all my right 
title interest and claim of in and to all Crops of whatsoever Species Kind or 
description now growing or which may hereafter be planted grown or gathered 
by me or for me or for my benefit on or off of any and all lands in Alachua 
County Florida: Also the following described property to wit: One Bay Horse
about fifteen years name "Bill" Known as the Colclough horse, "Two Cows"
one Black Spotted Cow & one white and Black cow marked upper bit in
Ears Branded "F" for Flynn, To Have and to Hold all and Singular the 
Crops lands and personal property above bargained and Sold unto the said 
Nathan C. Pettit heirs executors administrators and assigns forever, Provided 
nevertheless that if the said Kelly Flynn should well and truly pay or 
Cause to be paid unto the said Nathan C. Pettit the full amount of said 
together with the interest according to its tenor and effect then this 
instrument to be void else to remain in full force and virtue. And it 
is hereby further agreed that should it become necessary to enforce this 
instrument by legal proceedings the said Kelly Flynn will pay there
for all attorneys fees and Expenses, In witness whereof I hereunto 
set my hand and affixed my seal this third day of February AD 1887  his
