  To            }  Chattel Mortgage
T.B. Tillis     }
State of Florida }  This Indenture made and entered into on this 21st day
Alachua County   }  of March AD 1887. Witnesseth that I Horace N. Bryan
of above State and County in consideration of the sum of Seventy five dollars as
evidenced by a promissory note of even date herewith already advanced and
now due to T.B. Tllis by the said Horace N. Bryan the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged and Now therefore to fully secure said T.B. Tillis in the
future and for the further consideration of one dollar to me in hand paid do by
these presents grant bargain sell and Convey unto the said T.B. Tillis and to his heirs
or assigns all the right title interest and claim of the said Horace N. Bryan
his heirs Executors Administrators and assigns of in and to all the Crops of
Every species and Kind now planted or to be planted or grown or gathered
by me or for me or for my benefit on or off of any and all lands in 
Alachua County, either during the current year 1887 or during any and every Sub=
sequwnt year untill the debt hereby secured is fully paid, together with all interest
that has or may accrue as well as all expenses of every Kind that may attend
the Collection of the said debt: Also the following described personal property 
to wit: One deep bay horse 10 years old named Tom, One light bay
horse 12 years old name Joe, One one horse wagon (Whittenburg make)
To have and to Hold all and singular the crop and personal property 
bargained and sold unto the said T.B. Tillis his heirs or assigns forever, Providing
nevertheless if the said Horace N. Bryan should well and truly pay or cause to be 
paid unto the said T.B. Tillis the full amount of said note with interest and
advances heretofore made and that hereafter may or shall be made by the
said T.B. Tillis together with the charges for commissions and interest on
the same then this obligation to be void else to remain in full force 
and virtue. And it is hereby further agreed that all amounts are due
and payable on delivery of the goods and that this instrument may be
enforced at any time at the option of the said T.B. Tillis, and it is
hereby further agreed that should it become necessary to force this instrument 
by legal proceedings the said Horace N. Bryan will pay therefor all attorney
fees Charges and Expenses: In Witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and affix 
my seal this 21st day March AD 1887
