County of Alachua} Know all men by these presents that whereas
I Daniel Davis of above State and County am indebted to T.B. Tillis
of the same State and County in the sum of Twenty seven 50/100 dollars
lawful money of the United States which said sum is expressed in one
certain promissory note bearing date March 19th 1887 and for the
said Sum of Twenty Seven 50/100 dollars and falling due on Oct 1st 1887
AD 1887 with interest at 10 per cent, Now therefore to better secure said
T.B. Tillis in full payment of said note and interest and as Expressed I do by
these presents grant bargain sell and Convey unto the said T.B. Tillis his
heirs and assigns all my right title interest and Claim of in and to all the
Crops of whatsoever species Kind or description now growing or which
may hereafter be planted grown or gathered by me or for me or for my
benefit on or off of any and all lands in Alachua County Florida
Also the following described property to wit ~~
To have and to Hold all and singular the Crops and personal property
above bargained and sold unto the said T.B. Tillis his heirs Executors
administrators and assigns forever, Provided nevertheless that if the
said Daniel Davis should well and truly pay or cause to be paid
unto the said T.B. Tillis the full amount of said note, together with
the interest according to its tenor and effect then this instrument
to be void else to remain in full force and virtue. And it is
hereby further agreed that should it become necessary to enforce
this instrument by legal proceedings the said Daniel Davis will
pay therefor all Attorneys fees Charges and Expenses
In Witness Whereof I hereunto set my hand and affix my seal this
19th day of March AD 1887
