M. Gold         }
State of Florida } Whereas Harrington M. Fleming of above mentioned
Alachua County   } State and County justly indebted to M. Gold merchant
of Gainesville in the sum of Three Hundred 00/100 which said sum is cov
enanted to be paid by one certain promissory note bearing even date here
with and payable on the first day of April 1887 at office of said M. Gold
with interest after maturity at two per cent per month until paid
And whereas I am desirous of fully and better securing the payment of
said note and the sum of money mentioned therein, and for and in considera
tion of the premises and of one Dollar to me in hand paid have granted
bargained sold and conveyed and by these presents do grant bargain sell 
and Convey unto the said M. Gold his heirs and assigns all the follow
ing described property, to wit: One grey horse and harness one light
Wagon, and also one Crop of Vegetables covering about twelve acres
situated in the County of Alachua State of Florida. To have and to 
Hold the same unto the said M. Gold his heirs and assigns forever
Provided however and these presents are upon this express Condition that
if the said Harington M. Fleming heirs or assigns shall well and truly
pay or cause to be paid the sum of money covenanted to be paid by said
Note to gether with the interest to accrue thereon according to the
legal tenor and effect thereof then this obligation shall become null
and void otherwise to remain in full force and virtue. And it is hereby 
further agreed and stipulated that the said Harrington M. Fleming
heirs or assigns will pay all costs Expenses and attorneys fees which
the said M. Gold his heirs or assigns may be put to in Enforcing
the Collection of the aforesaid sum of money covenanted to be paid by
said note by foreclosure or otherwise, And it is further agreed and
stipulated that, should any one of the above described notes or any
part thereof or any part of the interest thereon remain due and un
paid for the space of    days after maturity then in that event
the whole of the balance of principal sum and interest hereby
secured shall become due and payable at the option of the Mortgagee herein
