                    Spring Term AD 1897,
                   Tuesday May 11 1897,
week of the Spring Term, of Our Circuit Court, AD 1897 to-wit: -
1 Isaac Mizellle: 2 Joseph W. Malphurs: 3 W.G. Videon: 4 J.C.
Blitch: 5 M.J. Beckham: 6 G.W. Hyde: L.C. Doane, and 8 C.E. Johnson
    Whereupon the Court ordered the Grand Jury to re-
tire and select their foreman, and afterwards they returned
into open court and announced that they had selected
George Smith as their Foreman,
     and now the list of Grand Jurors for this term of the
Court being called there came as Grand Jurors for this term
of the court, George Smith, Foreman, W.W. Brice, M.E. Bennet
Stuart Hotchkiss, W.A. Porter, J.H. Dyess, E.C. Bailey, C.C. Cox,
Reuben Ford, J.S. Mikell, Wiley Hines, P.M. Geiger, E.T. Hawthorn,
T.M. Kirby, M.J. Ward, W.D. Cauthen, J.J. Boone, S.C. Hayman,
  Whereupon J.R.W. Grissom was called and duly sworn in
as bailiff to the Grand Jury:
  and now the Court having delivered his charge to the
Grand Jury they retired to their room in charge of the bai-
liff,
     Whereupon the Court made the following order,
It appearing to the Court that by reason of excuses and other wise
there is a deficiency of four Petit Jurors to complete the panel
of the petit Jury for this the first week of the Spring Term of the
Circuit Court, AD 1897; it is therefore ordered that the Clerk of
this court do issue a venire directed to the Sheriff of Alachua
Conty commanding him to summon from the by standers or
from the body of the county at large four persons qualified
to serve as jurors to complete the panel of the Petit Jury for
this the first week of the Spring Term of the Circuit Court, A.
D. 1897, said venire returnable instanter,
Done in open Court, this May the 11th 1897,

  Whereupon the Clerk of the Court issued the following
venire.
         The State of Florida,
                       To L.W. Fennell, Sheriff of Ala-
chua County, Greeting:
                    You are hereby commanded to summon
from the bystanders or from the body of the County at large
four good and lawful men, qualified to serve as jurors each
for himself to be and personally appear before the Judge of our
Circuit Court at the Court House in the City of Gainesville
Alachua County Florida instanter to complete the panel
of the Petit Jury for this the first week of the Spring Term
of our Circuit Court AD 1897,
