               Spring Term AD 1897
              Friday May 14th 1897
and the parties Plaintiff and defendant being in open Court
by their respective attorneys, announced ready, Whereupon a jury
was called and there came Isaac Mizelle Joseph W. Mal-
phurs, W.G. Videon, J.C. Blitch, M.J. Beckham and G.W.
Hyde, who were duly empanelled and sworn to well and truly
try the issues joined by the parties in this cause according to the
evidence, and the jury aforesaid after hearing the evidence
the argument of counsel and Charge of the Court retired to
consider of their verdict and after due consideration thereof
they returned into open court and rendered the following verdict
to wit: 
    We the Jury find for the Plaintiff and assess his dam-
ages at $524.81 Five Hundred and Twenty four dollars and
eighty one cents

                                    Foreman
Whereupon it is considered ordered and adjudged by the
Court that the plaintiff M.F. Simmons do have and recover
of and from the defendant Herman Levy the sum of Five
Hundred and Twenty four dollars ad eighty one cents for his
damages, together with his costs in this behalf expended taxed
at Twenty & 59/100 Dollars and the defendant in mercy &c

Whereupon Court adjourned until to-morrow morning at 9 O'clock

              Saturday May 15th AD 1897

Court met pursuant to adjournment of yesterday his Hon
W.A. Hocker Judge presiding.
