being duly sworn deposes and says each for himself that he is
acquainted with Edward Brauer, and have known him for the
past five or six years; that the has resided within the United States and
in the state of Florida more than five years, that during that time he
has behaved himself as a man of a good moral character attached 
to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well
disposed to the good order and happiness of the same

Alachua County   } Edward Brauer who being duly sworn
deposes and says, that he will support the constitution of he Uni-
ted States, and that he absolutely and entirely renounces and abjures
all allegiance and fidelity to every Foreign Prince, potentate, state,
or sovereignty and particularly Queen Wilhehmina, Queen of Hol-
land of whom affiant was formerly a subject.

County of Alachua   } ss.  Be it Remembered, That on the
12th day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and ninety seven Edward Brauer late of Holland at
present of Gainesville in the County and State aforesaid appeared
in the Circuit Court of the 5th Judicial Circuit of Florida, (the said
Court having a Common law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal
and being a Court of Record) and applied to the said Court to be
admitted to become a Citizen of the United States of America, pur-
suant to the directions and acquisitions of the several acts of Con-
gress in relation thereto, and the said Edward Brauer having pro-
duced to the Court such declarations and renunciations, and taken
such oaths as are by such acts required;
  Therefore, it is ordered that the said Edward Brauer be ad-
mitted, and he is accordingly admitted by said Court to be a Citizen
of the United States of America.
      Done and ordered at Gainesville Florida this the
12th day of May AD 1897,
