                   Spring Term AD 1897
                  Wednesday May 19th 1897
shall have in charge according to the evidence, and the Jury afore-
said after hearing a part of the evidence, the further hearing of this
cause was postponed until tomorrow morning.

Whereupon Court adjourned until to-morrow morning at 9 o'clock,

                 Thursday May 20-1897,
The court met pursuant to adjournment of yesterday, His Honor
W.A. Hocker Judge presiding.
State of Florida }
       vs        } Assault with Intent to Murder,
J.E. Hathcox     }
              And now this cause is nol prossed on motion
of States attorney.

 Whereupon the Grand Jury came into open court, and
made the following report,
State of Florida  }
     vs           } Assault with Intent to Murder
Harmon Hathcox    } 
States Witnesses     A True Bill
Joe Rain, Josh Brooks,               George Smith Fore-
                                      man of Grand Jury,
 And now the Grand Jury having completed their labors for
the term of this Court, they presented ad had read their general
presentment,
        Whereupon the Grand Jury were discharged sine die.

  It being necessary to have a petit Jury for the next and
third week of this term of our Circuit Court, the Judge of said
Court in presence of the Clerk and sheriff drew from the
box containing the names of the persons selected by the county
commissioners to serve as Jurors for the year AD 1897, the
following named twelve persons to serve as jurors for
the next and third week of this term, to-wit: -
R.M. Jennings, W.S. Dorsey, William Sullivan, Frank Boals
J.C. Baxley, G.L. Markey, D.A. Miller, S.L. Crews, J.H. Hines,
W.D. Futch, L.L. Knight, and R.E. Johnston, and ordered the Clerk
of this Court to issue a venire for the above named persons
returnable at 9 o'clock A.M. May 25th 1897,
 Whereupon the Clerk issued the venire as by order of the court,
directed,
