Horrace Merry, in consideration of the Premises, and the further
consideration of five dollars to him in hand paid
by the said John McKinley at and before the Sealing and delivery
of these Presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath
bargained, sold, and released, and by these presents doth
bargain sell, and release, to the said John McKinley, Said Slaves
to wit; Emily, Cuffy, George, Tinna, To have and to hold Said
named Slaves to said McKinley his heirs & e as fully and to every interest
as if said indenture and promissory note herein before described had
never been made and executed and the said Horrace Merry for himself
his heirs, & C agrees to defend Said Slaves to the Said McKinley
his heirs & C, against all claim on the part of Said Merry, and
others claiming by him or under him, and against such claim only
     In testimony whereof the Said Horrace Merry hath hereto
set his hand and Seal the day and year to wit; January 5th 1848

Whereas Moses E. Levy of the City of St. Augustine County
of St. Johns, and State of Florida, as one of the tenants in
common in and with the proprietors of the Arredondo Grant
was entitled to bid, at the sale of said Arredondo Grant
begun and held at Micanopy Alachua County on the 21st day of
February one Thousand Eight hundred and forty nine, under the
direction of commissioners appointed by decree of the Circuit Court
of the Eastern Judicial Circuit of Florida, Sitting
in the City of St. Augustine at the November term, one
Thousand Eight hundred and forty Eight, And wherein the said
Moses E. Levy, at the sale held as aforesaid, bid off and became
the purchaser of Section Number twelve, of Township Number
Ten, of Range Number Twenty one, as designated by the plat,
or map of Said Arredondo grant, NOW BE IT KNOWN,
That the Said Moses E. Levy, hath this day for, and in condsid-
eration of the Sum of Six dollars and forty cents, to him in hand
paid, at and before the Sealing and delivery of these presents by
Sarah Hooker the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath
Granted, bargained, Sold, transferred, and conveyed, and by these
