Know men by these presents, That I Bennett M.
Dell of Alachua county and State of Florida
for and in consideration of the natural love and
affection which I have and do bear unto my
daughter Sarah Angeline Dell, and for her better
maintenence and the increase of her portion,
and also in consideration of the Sum of one dollar
to me paid by Phillip Dell of the Same State
and County at and before the Sealing and delivery
hereof the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged,
have given, granted, bargained, and Sold, and by
these presents, do give, grant, bargain, and Sell unto
the Said Phillip Dell the following Negro
Slaves, to wit; Charlotte a Mulatto woman Slave
about twenty years of age, and her Son Charles about
one year of age, Jacob a Negro Slave about fourteen
years of age, and Polly a female Slave about eight
years of age; to have and hold all and Singular the
premises hereby given and granted unto the Said Phillip
Dell, his Executors and Administrators forever upon this
Special Trust nevertheless that the Said Phillip Dell his
Executors and Administrators Shall and do hold the aforesaid
Negro Slaves to and for the sole and separate use
benefit and behoof of the said Sarah Angeline
Dell for and during the term of her natural life
this provision being intended to take effect in addition
to any provision which may be made in my last will
and Testament for my said Daughter Sarah Angeline Dell
and at her death the said negro Slaves to revert to me, & if I
be dead, to be divided amongst my lawful heirs and distributies according
to the law of, And I do hereby convey unto the Said Phillip Dell
his Executors and Administrators full and ample power and
authority to Execute the Trust herein created.
     In Testimony whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and
affixed my Seal, this 22nd day of June A.D. 1849
