State of New York
City and County of New York to wit I Moses B. Maclay
a commissioner duly commissioned and sworn in for the state
of New York appointed by the Gov. of Florida to take the
proof and acknowledgments of deeds in and for the state
of New York ss personaly appeared T. Bailey Myers to
me personally known to be the individual described in who executed
the foregoing instruments and acknowledges to me that he executed
the same.
    In testimony whereof I have hereinto subscribed my
      name and affixed my seal of office on this sixteenth
      day of October A. D. 1849

Quit Claim
     Thin indenture made the second day of April in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty nine
between Willaim W. Wells  Frederick Ryer and Cynthia his wife
of the City of New York the said William and Cynthis
being the children surviving heirs at law of Nathaniel Wells
deceased parties of the first part and Peter J. Nevins attny,
of the Estate of Geromas Johnston and David H. Haight
of the said city, parties
of the second part witnesseth that the parties of the first
part for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar
lawful money of the United States of America to and in him
paid by the said party of the second part at or before the
ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged remissed, released and quit claimed
and by these presents do remise release and quit claim unto
the said party of the second part and to the heirs and assigns
forever all those certain sections and fraction sections of
land situated lying and being in the tract known
as the Arredondo Grant in East Florida being a portion of
the premises recently purchased by us at the sale of land
grants in portion under a decretal order of Circuit Court
of St. Johns County made on the nineteenth day of
November 1848 at which sale made at Michonopy
