then In Trust after the death of the said Madison
S. Perry to deliver to deliver the said Negro slaves
and their issue, and all and singular the other
property above mentioned to the children of the said
Madison S. Perry, if more than one, equally to be
divided among them, and if only one child, then
to deliver the same to said child, the issue of
any deceased child of the said Madison S.
Perry should there be any such to represent
the parent, and take the share which the parent
would be entitled to if living- Witness my
hand & seal this twenty third day of December
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and forty six, and in the seventy first
year of the independence of the united States
of America
