Know all men by these presents That, I Joseph
Delevante of this City Merchant have made ordained instituted
and appointed and by these presents do make ordain institute
and appoint, Moses Elias Levy Esquire planter or Land proprietor
of Alachua East Florida in the United States of America, my
true and Lawful attorney for me and in my name, and for,
the Special purpose herein     **** to ask, demand and
reserve of and from all and every person or persons, Whom it doth
Shall, or may concern, All Such Sum and Sums of Money, Debts,
dues, duties, effects, Claims and demands whatever as now
are or at any time or times hereafter Shall or may become due owing
or payable or belong to me either for rent or by bond, Bill, Book,
Note, Account, or by any other ways or means whatsoever or
howsoever, And Upon non payment thereof, the Same person or persons
So indebted to me their Executors, administrators, and goods for me
and in my name, to ditrain, Sue arrest, imprison, implead, and
prosecute for the same and upon Such Suit, to proceed to Judgment
and execution, and thereupon the Said person or persons so indebted
to me their Executors and administrators in prison to hold and keep
until payment thereof be made with all cost and damages Sustained
and to be sustained by reason of the detaining of the same, and
of need be to compound and agree for the same and upon
payment thereof or of such composition for the Same the Said person
or persons so indebted to me their Executors and administrators forth
of prison to discharge and acquittance for the Same or any
part thereof or of Such composition for the Same for me and in
my name, to make Seal, and deliver, and One attorney or
more under him to Substitute and at pleasure to ****** in all
That Concerns a mortgage granted me by the above mentioned
M.E. Levy on the fifthteenth 15th March 1827 in this
City of London for two Thousand one hundred & ten pounds Sterling on
Certain lands premises therein more particularly Specified belonging
to him in the Territory of East Florida in the U.S. of America
recorded in the same year at the request of Davis Floyd Esq. in
the Same Territory & in the County of Alachua in the Office of
Bennett M. Dell in book A Page 27 coequal in right with
a similar mortgage granted by the of Said M.E. Levy in Paris on
the 30th July 1826 to Serafenia Chanviteau Widdow for Fifty
thousand franks on the aforesaid Land & premises
     And generally to do perform and execute all and
every other lawful and reasonable acts and things whatsoever
which Shall be needful to be done in deed about the
Execution of the premises, Giveing and by these presents
