Alachua County                  On the eighth day of May AD 1850,
I the subscriber Clerk of the Circuit Court for the County
aforesaid, have recorded the annexed power of attorney of Seraphina
Chaveteau to William W. Russell substitution of power of W. W. Russell 
to Moses E. Levy and certificate thereto annexed  of William
H. Maxwell, Florida Commissioner, and power of attorney
from Joseph Delevante to Moses E. Levy with certificate
of Thomas Aspinwall, United States Council for London in
England and Deed from said Moses E. Levy, Seraphina Cha-
veteau and Joseph Delevante with certificate of Gad Hump-
hreys Judge of Probate of St. Johns County to record
Book A of Records of Deeds Pages 234 to 246 inclusive.

Whereas by a deed of conveyance made and executed on the fifth day of April 1850, by us, Moses Elias Levy, of
the city of St. Augustine, in the state of Florida, Joseph Delevante of the city of London in Great Britain, by Moses E.
Levy, my attorny in fact, and Maria Serefina Chaviteau of the city of Paris, in France, by Moses E. Levy, my at-
torney in fact, who signed my name thereto as Serafina Chaviteau, to certain section of land, to wit, in Section
twenty, in Township twelve in Range number twenty and section thirty-five in Township number nine in Range
number nineteen, included in and being part of a tract of land containing 289,545 5/7 acres, originally
granted by the Spanish government to Fernando de la Maza Arredondo and Son, but in said deed by mistake
described as granted by the said Arrendondo and son, were conveyed and meant and intended to be con-
veyed by us to Thomas Douglas of the town of Jacksonville, County of Duval and and State of Florida, aforesaid,
Therefore, we the said Moses Elias Levy, Joseph Delecante, by his said attorney in fact, and Maria Serafina Chasi-
teau, by her said attorney in fact, for ourselfes & our heirs, for and in consideration of the sum of fiteen hundred dol-
lars, in said deed of conveyance mentioned,and of the further sum of ten dollars to me in handpaid by the
said Thomas Douglas, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have released quit claimed and by these
present do release and quit claim unto the said Thomas Douglas and his heirs and assings forever all of our
right, title, claim and interest of and in and to the said sections of land and each and any of these with all their
appurtenances: to have and to hold the same unto the sole use and benefit of said Thomas Douglas, his
heirs and assigns forever.  In witness wereof we have hereunto set our hand and seals this nineteenth
