This Indenture made and entered into on this the seventeen-
th day of July AD 1882, Between E.D. Barnett and Al-
venia A. Barnett W.M. Knox and Mattie F. Knox
parties of the first part all of the state and county aforesaid
& John A. Simonton of the State of Florida and County of
Marion party of the second part, Witnesseth, That for and in
consideration of the sum of Five Hundred Dollars to the parties
of the first part in hand paid by the party of the second
part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have given
granted bargained sold and conveyed, and by these presents
doth so give grant bargain sell and convey unto the said John
A. Simonton the following Lot of land situated in the Village of 
Micanopy and more particularly described as follows commencing
Eighty two feet North of the south East corner of the old Stoughton
House site on the public square running thence North Two 
Hundred and Ten feet to a stake corner, thence west Two hun-
dred and ten feet to a Staked corner, Thence South Two Hundred
and Ten feet , to a Stake corner, Thence East Two Hundred and
Ten feet, To point of beginning and containing one acre of
land, To Have and To Hold the above described Lot of land
together with all and singular the Houses buildings and
improvements thereto belonging or in anywise appertain-
-ing unto the said party of the second part his heirs ex-
-ecutors or administrators and assigns in fee simple for-
-ever and the said parties of the first part covenants and 
agrees with the party of the second part that they are
seized in fee of the premises aforesaid, That they are free
from all encumbrances, That they have good right to sell
and convey the same to the said John A. Simonton and
that they will and their heirs executors administrators or
assigns shall warrant and defend the titles to the same
against all parties claiming or to claim under them.
In testimony whereof the said parties of the first part
have hereunto set their hands and and affixed their
seals on this the day and year first above written.
