Barnett and Mattie F. Knox the respective wifes of 
E.D. Barnett and W.M. Knox the grantors in the forego-
ing conveyence, who being first duly questioned and
examined by me separate and apart from their said
Husbands acknowledged before me that they did sign the
said Deed of conveyance for the purposes of releasing
relinquishing and renouncing all of their right of Dow-
-er in and to the land in said Deed described and that
said relinquishment and renunciation of Dower was done
and made by them freely and voluntarily and without
any compulsion constraint apprehension or fear of or
from their said Husbands. In testimony whereof we
have hereunto set our hand and affixed our seals on this
 19th day of July AD 1882

State of Florida } Know all men by these presents that we Samuel
Alachua County   } Thomas and wife Sarah Thomas both of said
County & State for and in consideration of the sum of One Hundred
Dollars to us in hand paid by C.A.W. Thomas of the County and
State aforesaid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do hereby
grant bargain sell and convey unto the said C.A.W. Thomas his heirs
and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land with the buildings
thereon and all the appurtenances to the same belonging Situated in
Said County & State bounded and described as follows to wit: The
