William C. Andruss To John E. Hughes
                  "Deed"
State of Florida }
Alachua County   } Know all men by these presents
that I William C. Andruss of the aforesaid County
and State for and in Consideration of the Sum
of one Thousand dollars paid to me by John
E. Hughes of the State and County aforementioned
the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have
granted bargained sold and Conveyed and by
these presents do grant bargain sell and Con-
vey unto the said John E. Hughes all of that
Certain lot piece tract or parcel of land Situated
lying and being in the County of Alachua in the
State of Florida particularly known and described
as follows to wit: The South East Quarter of the
North West Quarter of the South West Quarter
of Section Sixteen (16) Township (11) Eleven Range
Eighteen (18) Containing Ten (10) acres more or less
Fifteen feet on the North and fifteen feet on
the South sides to be reserved for a public
Street Containing by estimation Ten (10) acres
of land more or less. Together with all and sin-
gular the tenements hereditaments and appurten-
ances to the same belonging or in any wise ap-
pertaining. To have and to hold the Same unto the
said John E. Hughes and to his heirs executors
administrators and assigns in fee Simple
absolute forever. And I the said William C. An-
druss do hereby Covenant and agree to and
with the said John E. Hughes that I am lawfully
seized in fee of the property herein and hereby
Conveyed and that we have good and lawful
right to sell and Convey the Same that the Same
is free from all encumbrances of any Kind
Whatsoever and that I will and my heirs executors
and administrators Shall and will forever Warrant
and defend the Same unto the said John E. Hughes
and to his heirs executors administrators and
assigns against the lawful claims and demands
of any and all persons whomsoever now claiming
or hereafter to claim the Same.
In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand
and affixed my seal on this 9th day of August AD
