of the aforesaid County and State for and in consideration of the sum of
two hundred and two 50/100 Dollars to us in hand paid by James R. Adkins
of the County of Alachua in the State of Florida the receipt whereof we do
hereby acknowledge, have granted bargained sold and conveyed and by
these presents do grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Jas R. Adkins
all of that certain lot, piece tract or parcel of land Situated lying and
being in the County of Alachua in the State of Florida particularly
known and described as follows to wit: Commencing at the NE corner of the
SE1/4 of Section (27) Twenty seven Township (10) Ten South of Range (22) Twenty
Two East Thence South 86° West 9.46 chains (Gunthers) to place of beginning;
Thence South 2° 35' East 12.85 chains thence South 86° West 10.51 chains;
Thence North 2° 30' East 12.85 chains Thence North 86° East 10.51 chains to
place of beginning - containing by estimation 13 50/100 acres of land more or less
Together with all and singular the tenements hereditaments and appurten=
ances to the same belonging or in anywise appertaining. To Have and hold
the same unto - the said James R. Adkins and to his heirs executors
administrators and assigns in fee simple and absolute. And the said
John C. Thigpen and his wife Christianna M. Thigpen do hereby covenant
and agree to and with the said James R. Adkins that they are lawfully
seized in fee of the property herein and hereby conveyed; and that we
have good and lawful right to sell and convey the same that the same
is free from all encumbrances of any kind whatsoever and that they
will and their heirs executors and administrators shall and will forever
warrant and defend the same unto the said James R. Adkins and to
his heirs executors administrators and assigns against the lawful claims
and demands of any and all persons whomsoever now claiming or hereafter
to claim the same. In Witness Whereof we have hereunto set our hands

before me personally appeared Mrs Christianna M. Thigpen wife of John
C. Thigpen the grantor in the foregoing conveyance who being first
duly questioned and examined by me separate and apart from her
said husband says and acknowledges before me that she did sign the
said deed of conveyance for the purpose of releasing relinquishing and
announcing all of her right of Dower in and to the land in said deed
described and that said relinquishment and renunciation of Dower was
done and made by her freely and voluntarily and without any compulsion
constraint apprehension or fear of or from her said husband
