Alachua County   }  Whereas Geo L. Barnes as sheriff of Alachua County
Florida did on the 7th day of December AD 1868 make and execute a
Certain deed to J.H. Roper, which said deed was defective in that
it had no seal affixed thereto as will appear by reference to Deed
Book "H" at page 624 of the Public Records of Alachua County Florida
And whereas the Hon Thos F. King Judge of the Circuit Court for the fifth
Judicial Circuit of Florida upon an Ex Parte Petition presented by Wm H.
Leas, its Executor of estate of Jno W. Gustine, deceased, make an order and
Decree directing me as Sheriff of Alachua County Florida to make a new
deed to the lands therein described to S.J. Burnett and Isaac Saunders as
Executors of the estate of J.H. Roper deceased, as will appear by reference to
same, among the Records of said Alachua County Florida: Therefore Know
all men by these presents: That I, S.H. Wienges, as Sheriff of Alachua
County Florida for and in consideration of the premises, and the sum
of one dollar to me in hand paid by S.J. Burnett and Isaac Saunders
as Executors of estate of J.H. Roper decd the receipt whereof is hereby ac-
knowledged have granted bargained sold aliened & conveyed, and do
by these presents grant bargain sell alien and convey unto the said
S.J. Burnett and Isaac Saunders as Executors as aforesaid, all the
following tract or parcel of land described in said deed from Geo
L. Barnes Sheriff to J.H. Roper as follows viz: "About nine acres
more or less, Known as the Oak Hall property now occupied by
Mrs R.M. Roberds situated south of the town of Gainesville as
originally surveyed levied on as the property of Mrs R.M. Roberds
Together with all and singular the tenements hereditaments and ap-
purtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining, To
Have and to hold the same unto S.J. Burnett and Isaac Saunders
as Executors, as aforesaid their successors and assigns forever
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal on
this 17th day of February AD 1887
