State of Florida } On this Fifteenth day of September 1886 before
County of Columbia } me S. French a notary Public of the State at
large personally appeared Samuel B. Thompson and Laura D.M.
Thompson his wife to me known to be the persons described in and
who Executed the foregoing instrument and severally acknowledged the
Execution thereof to be their free act and deed for the uses and purposes
therein mentioned, and the said Laura D.M. Thompson the wife of the said
Samuel B. Thompson on an Examination taken and made separately
and apart from her said husband did acknowledge that she made her
self a party to the said deed for the purpose of renouncing and relinquish
ing her dower or right of dower in and to the lands tenements and
hereditaments therein described and thereby granted and released and
that such relinquishment or renunciation of dower is made by her freely
and voluntarily and without any constraint apprehension or fear of

Application 7224 } To all whom these presents shall come Greeting
Whereas there has been deposited in the General Land Office of the
United States a Certificate of the Register of the Land Office at Gaines
ville Florida whereby it appears that pursuant to the act of Congress
approved 20th May 1862, "To Secure Homesteads to actual settlers
on the Public Domain" and the Acts supplemental thereto the claim
of Reese G. Wilson has been established and duly consumated in
conformity to law for the South east quarter of the north west
quarter of Section four in Township eight South of Range twenty
east of Tallahassee Meridian in Florida, containing forty acres
and six hundredths of an acre, according to the Official Plat
of the survey of the said land returned to the General Land
Office by the Surveyor General: Now Know ye That there is
therefore granted by the United States unto the said Reese G. Wilson
the tract of land above described. To have and to Hold
the said tract of land with the appurtenances thereof unto
the said Reese G. Wilson and to his heirs and assigns forever
In testimony whereof I Grover Cleveland President of the United
States of America have caused these letters to be made Patent
and the seal of the General Land Office to be hereunto
