Alachua County } Know all men by these Presents:
That Emma Cathcart & James Carthcart
of the aforesaid County and State, for and in consideration of the sum of Three Hundred
Dollars to us in hand paid by U.A. Wright Trustee for Jesse Edgar Wright & Royal
Tomkies Wright Minors children of said U.A. Wright & Kisiah Wright
of the County of Alachua in the State of Florida the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge, have granted,
bargained, sold and
conveyed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and convey unto them unto him the said U. A. Wright Trustee for Jesse Edgar Wright & Royal
Tomkies Wright minors &c their heris & assigns
all that certain lot, piece, tract or parcel of land situated, lying and being in the County of Alachua, State of Florida particularly known and described as follows, to wit:
The South half of the North East quarter and the North half of the South East
quarter section Thirty one in Township Eight South of Range Seventeen East
containing by estimation One Hundred & Sixty acres of land, more or less, Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and
appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining.
To Have and to Hold the same unto them the said U.A. Wright Trustee for Jesse Edgar Wright & Royal Tomkies
Wright &c
and to their heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, in fee simple absolute. And we the said Emma Carthcart and James H. Carthcart
do hereby covenant and agree to and with the said U.A. Wright Trustee for Jesse Edgar Wright & Royal
Tomkies Wright minors &c
that we are lawfully seized in fee of the property herein and hereby conveyed, and that we have good and lawful right to sell and convey the same; that the same is free from all
encumberances of any kind whatsoever, and that we will and will heirs, executors and administrators shall and will forever warrant and defend the same unto them the said
U.A. Wright Trustee for Jesse Edgar Wright & Royal Tomkies Wright Minors &c
and to their heirs, executors and administrators and assigns, against the lawful claims and demands of any and all persons whomsoever now claiming or hereafter to claim the same.

Alachua County } I Hereby Certify that on the fifth day of January 1883
me personally appeared Mrs. Emma Carthcart
wife of James H. Carthcart the grantor in the foregoing conveyance, who being first duly qusetioned and examined by me, separate
and apart from her said husband, says and acknowledges before me that she did sign the said deed of conveyance for the purpose
of releasing, relinquishing and renouncing all her right of Dower in and to land in said deed described, and that the said
Relinquishment and Renunciation of Dower was done and made by her freely and voluntarily, and without any compulsion, constraint,
apprehension or fear of or from her husband.
