Spring Term A.D. 1882
        Tuesday June 6th 1882
State of Florida }  W.A. Hocker
        vs       }  Larceny
Peter Rutledge   }  Thrasher & Hampton
                 }
                  And now this Cause coming on
to be heard W.A. Hocker State attorney prosecu-
ting in the name and by the authority of the State
of Florida and the prisoner appearing in his
own proper person as well as by his attorneys
Mess Thrasher & Hampton and now the prisoner
being brought to the Bar here under the Custody of
John W. Turner Sheriff of Alachua County to
which Sheriff he is also committed and being forth-
with demanded how he would acquit himself
saith that he is not guilty as the Indictment al-
leges against him and for his trial he pupts
himself upon God and the Country Whereupon
a Jury was called and there Came Jas H. Low
F.W. Lambert  M.A. Tolar  M.E. Ward  M. Shiretzki
O.W. Sykes who were duly Sworn and empanelled
to well and truly try the difference pending and
thereafter after hearing the evidence the argument
of Counsil and the Charge of the Court retired
to Consider of their verdict and thereafter on
the same day returned into open Court and re-
dered the following verdict to wit: We the Jury
find the prisoner guilty

Lawrence W. Jackson } Taylor & Sanchez Thrasher & Hampton
                      And now this Cause coming on
to be heard W.A. Hocker prosecuting in the name
and by the authority of the State of Florida and the
prisoner appearing in his own proper person as well
as by his attorneys Mess Taylor & Sanchez and Thrasher
& Hampton, Whereupon the prisoner being arraigned
saith that he is not guilty as the Indictment
alleges Whereupon a Jury was called and
there Came W.N. Tillman Z.T. Taylor Jr Fabian
Thomas, N.H. Hane  J.W. Thompkins  M. A. Tolar
who were duly sworn and empanelled to
well and truly try the difference pending
and thereafter after hearing the evidence
