Gainesville Fla December 4th AD 1882
At a Regular term of the Circuit Court in and
for Alachua County 5th Judicial Circuit of
Florida Fall Term AD 1882 The following proceedings
were begun and held to wit.
At which was present John W. Turner Sheriff
of Alachua County and J.A. Carlisle Clerk of
the Circuit Court in and for said County -
Whereupon the Court was duly and Regularly
opened by the Sheriff of said County the
following order was read and spread upon the
minutes of the court: to wit:
The State of Florida
To the Hon Enoch J. Vann
Judge of the Third Judicial Circuit
Owing to the continued
illness of the Hon James B. Dawkins and his
inability to discharge the duties of Judge of the
Fifth Circuit, you are hereby designated and
appointed to hold the Fall Term of the Circuit
Court in the County of Alachua in the said Fifth
Circuit in the present year
Witness my hand and seal at
Tallahassee the twenty fourth day of November
AD Eighteen hundred and Eighty Two.

the Court was adjourned until tomorrow at Twelve
