Adjourned Fall Term Circuit Court Alachua County A.D. 1882
Wednesday January 10th 1883
It is ordered by the Court that the minutes of the ninth be corrected
as follows in reference to the empanelling and organizing of the
grand Jury for this term.
Whereupon the panel of the Grand Jury was completed consisting
of the following named jurors Edwin D. Hodges (1) Joseph McCarroll
(2) Jesse L. Tillman (3) Z.T. Stroman (4) Wm Tophiez (5) F.W. Polk
(6) W.W. Mott (7) Wm Williams (8) Z.T. Taylor Sr. (9) M.C.
Suggs (10) F.B. Dell (11) G.W. Gornto (12) W.B. Phifer 13 A
Avera (14) W.C. Miller 15 N.R. Gruelle 16 W.D. Tillman
Whereupon the grand jury under direction of the Court retired
selected their foreman and came into Court reporting that
they had selected Edwin D. Hodges, one of their number as fore-
man of the Grand Jury.
Whereupon the grand jury were duly and legally sworn to dis-
charge their duties in accordance with the statute in such case
made and provided and were duly charged by the Court and
James J. Kennard was then duly sworn to act as bailiff of
the grand Jury, and the grand jury retired for the discharge
of their duties.
