Circuit Court in and for Alachua County in the Fifth
Judicial Circuit of the State of Florida which is a Court of record
having common law Jurisdiction and a seal and clerk personally
appeared John Garner who being by me first duly sworn
upon oath says that he will support the Constitution
of the United States of America and that he absolutely and
entirely renounces and abjures all allegiance and fidelity to
every foreign prince potentate state or Sovereignty and particularly
to her Majesty Queen Victoria Queen of England and Empress of
India of which he was before a citizen or subject

And now the Prisoner
John Lee being in open Court as likewise
Counsel for the State and for the Prisoner at the bar
Whereupon the Jury who had been duly Sworn and
empanelled in this Cause to wit T.B. Smith R.C. Davis
L. Wertheim Council Ward Robert Hawkins H. Pinkoson
Essex James, J.B. Vanlandingham, L.L. Hill, M.L. Ward
J.B. Mixson and Joseph L. Roberts being also in open
Court under the Charge of the bailiff J.A. Shannon
Whereupon the hearing of this Cause was resumed
Whereupon the Jury having heard the balance of the
evidence,
Whereupon the hour for the adjournment of the
Court having arrived - the Prisoner John Lee was
remanded to Jail, and the Jury under the Charge
of the Bailiff aforesaid under instructions of the
Court remained in the Court House under the Charge
of said Bailiff
Whereupon the Court adjourned until Nine Oclock
on Monday Morning
