And now John Lee the prisoner
being brought into open Court and the Counsel
for the state as well as for the prisoner at the Bar
being present in Court Whereupon the Jury -
who had retired to Consider of their verdict
in this Cause Came into open Court and
rendered the following verdict to wit:
We the Jury find the prisoner Guilty of Murder
in the first degree So Say we all

Whereupon the prisoner was remanded to Jail
Whereupon the Counsel ^for the defendant announced orally that they
would make a motion for a new trial and
for a stay of Judgment
Whereupon the Court adjourned until Nine
oclock tomorrow morning

his plea to the Indictment and to the Jurisdic-
tion of the Court, to which said plea came

a Demurrer to said plea -
