Adjourned Fall Term of A.D. 1882
      Wednesday January 17th 1883 =
they should agree at nine oclock tomorrow
morning

And now Geo W. Reynolds being in Court under
attachmt ordered by the Court was fined Five dollars
as defaulting witness and sentenced to pay the Cost
of said writ and its execution

And now Geo H. Sutherland being in Court under
attachment ordered by the Court was sentenced as
a defaulting witness to pay the cost of said
writ

Whereupon the Court adjourned until tomow

of the Third Judicial Circuit presiding as
Judge of the Fifth Circuit -

        vs       }  Assault with intent to Commit
Bill Williams    }  Rape
                 }  Thrasher, Taylor & Sanchez
                 }  And now the the attorneys
for the State as well as of the defendant
being in open Court and the prisoner being
in open Court in his own proper person
and the Jury who had been duly sworn and
empanelled in this cause on yesterday and
who had retired to consider of their verdict
under instructions from the Court to render
the following verdict to a sealed verdict.
to wit - R.H. Hall, Thomas James, James C. Haile
T.M. Cauthen W.C. Bevill and W.L. Campbell
came into open Court and rendered the
