    Fall Term A.D. 1880
      Tuesday November 2rd 1880
State of Florida  )
      vs          )  Breaking and entering a building
Emanuel Johnson   )  in the night time with intent to
                  )  commit larceny
                  )  And now this cause coming on
to be heard.  W.A. Hocker state attorney prosecuting in
the name and by the authority of the State of Florida
and the prisoner appearing in his own proper person
as well as by his attorney Mess Taylor & Sanchez
Whereupon the prisoner was arraigned and upon his
arraignment saith that he is not guilty as the In-
dictment alleges and for good and evil he puts 
himself upon God and the Country for trial whereupon
a Jury was called and then came T.N. Moss
T.L. Boulware W.E. Bevill A.C. Beckham W.G. Mc
Carroll and Samuel Williams who were duly
sworn and empanelled to well and truly try
the difference pending and thereafter after
hearing the evidence the argument of counsel

Whereupon the Court adjourned until nine 
oclock tomorrow morning

                  )  And now the Jury upon
yesterday duly sworn and empanelled came
into open Court and after hearing the charge
of the Court retired to consider of their
verdict and thereafter on the same day re
turned into open Court and rendered the follow
ing verdict to wit:  We the Jury find the prisoner
not Guilty so say we all  A.C. Beckham
                               Foreman
Whereupon the prisoner was discharged-

State of Florida     )
      vs             ) False Pretenses
James Dickson alias  ) and now this Cause is continued
William Dickson      ) the defendant being sick
