The Court met pursuant to adjournment of yester-
day His Honor Thomas F. King Judge presiding

S.F. Winecoff } and now this cause is nol prosed
State of Florida }
vs } Larceny
Harry Perrin }
And now this cause is Continued
on the affidavit of the defendant
State of Florida } Hocker
vs } Assault with intent to Murder
L.S. Fleming } McCall
} And now this Cause Coming on
to be heard W.A. Hocker prosecuting in the name
and by the authority of the State of Florida and
the prisoner appearing in his own proper person
as well as by his attorney W.W. McCall and being
now forthwith demanded how he would acquit
himself of the Charge against him saith that he
is not guilty as the Indictment alleges against
him whereupon a Jury was called and there Came
R.B. Smith W. Stroble W.W. Carter, J.F. Townsend
G.W. Easterlin and T.N. Sewell who were duly
Sworn and empanelled well and truly try the diference
pending and thereafter after hearing the evidence
the argument of Counsel and the Charge of the
Court retired to consider of their verdict and
thereafter on the same day returned into open Court
and rendered the following verdict to wit: We the
Jury find the defendant not guilty W.W. Carter
foreman this May 1st 1883 -

} And now this Cause
coming on to be heard and the parties plaintiff
and defendant appearing by their respective attor-
neys and the issues being joined whereupon
