Tuesday May 1st 1883
a Jury was called and there came R.B. Smith
Wm Stroble N.W. Malphurs Daniel Chesser G.B.
Townsend and Levi Jones who were duly and truly
Sworn and empanelled to well and truly try the issues
joined and thereafter hearing the evidence the argu-
ment of Counsel and the Charge of the Court retired
to consider of their verdict and thereafter on the
same day returned into open Court and rendered
the following verdict to wit: We the Jury find for the
defendant Danl Chesser
Foreman
Whereupon it is ordered Considered and adjudged
by the Court that the Defendant do have and
recover of and from the Plaintiff the Sum of
Eighty Dollars and Thirty Three
Cents taxed as his Costs in this behalf expended
and the Plaintiff in mercy &c -
Whereupon the Court adjourned until tomorrow
morning at nine oclock
