                  ) And now this cause coming
on to be heard W.A. Hocker state attorny and
W.W. Hampton prosecuting in the name and
by the authority of the State of Florida and
the prisoner appearing in his own proper person
as well as by his attorneys Mess Taylor & Sanchez
Whereupon the prisoner was arraigned and
upon his arraigment saith that he is not
guilty as the Indictment alleges and for
good and evil he puts himself upon God
and the Country for trial.  Whereupon a Jury
was called and there came - T.N. Moss
W.E. Bevill, Eli Fritch J.J. Tillis M.S. Knox
T.W. Dawkins who were duly sworn and em-
panelled to well and truly try the difference
pending and thereafter after hearing the
evidence the argument of counsel and the
charges of the Court retired to consider of
their verdict and thereafter on the same
day returned into open Court and rendered
the following verdict to wit:  We the Jury find
the prisoner not Guilty so say we all.

Whereupon the prisoner was discharged -

on to be heard W.A. Hocker State attorney pros-
ecuting in the name and by the authority of
the State of Florida and the prisoner appear-
ing in his own proper person as well as by
his attorney J.C. Gardiner and now the pris-
oner being brought to the Bar here under the cus-
tody of John W. Turner sheriff of Alachua
