for Citizenship

In the Superior Court of the City of New York
I Herman B. Binder do declare on oath that it is bona
fide my intention to become a Citizen of the United States
and to renounce forever all Allegiance and fidelity to any
foreign Prince Potentate State or Sovereignty whatever and
particularly to the Emperor of Germany of whom I am now
a subject

resident of Alachua County in the State of Florida would 
very respectfully Show unto your honor that he is a
citizen or Subject of the Empire of Germany - That Your
petitioner has actually resided in the United States of
America for more than five years - That on the 12th day of
July A.D. 1878 he did file in the Office of the Clerk of
the Superior Court of the City of New York in the State of
New York his declaration under oath of his intention to
become a Citizen of the United States as required by law
as will more fully appear by reference to a copy of Such
declaration duly certified hereto attached as part of this
