years last hast been a resident of Alachua County State of Florida
and that it is bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the
United States of America Wherefore he humbly prays your Honor
to administer to him the proper oath in such cases made and
provided and that he may be naturalized and admitted as a
citizen and Subject of the United States of America with all the
immunities rights and privileges granted to other Citizens of the
United States of America by the laws thereof and he will ever pray

and Tobias Brown each of whom being duly sworn says that
they are acquainted with Herman B. Binder the petitioner
named in the annexed petition and that they have known
him for more than five years last past and that said
Herman B. Binder during the past five years has resided in
Alachua County in the State of Florida within the United States
of America at a place called "Balmoral" on Santa Fe Lake and
that during that time the said Herman B. Binder has behaved
as a man of good moral character attached to the principles
of the Constitution of the United States and well disposed to
the good order and happiness of the same

the Circuit Court for the Fifth Judicial Circuit of
the State of Florida in and for Alachua County personally
appeared Herman B. Binder who being first duly sworn
says upon oath: that he will support the Constitution of
the United States and that he absolutely and entirely
renounces and adjures all allegiance and fidelity to every
foreign prince potentate State or sovereignty and particularly
to William First Emperor of Germany of which he was before
a citizen
