try the difference pending according to the
evidence and thereafter after hearing the evidence
the argument of Counsel and the Charge of
the Court retired to consider of their verdict
and thereafter on the same day returned into
open Court and rendered the following Verdict
to wit: We the Jury find the Defendant
Guilty of Stealing one Ox the property of George
Hall valued at 25 dollars S.T. Prescott

on to be heard on a motion for a New Trial
and after argument had therein whereupon the
Court overuled said motion for a new trial
to which order and ruling the defendant by
his attorney there and then excepted.
