And being forthwith demanded how
he would acquit himself of the Charge
against him saith that he is not
guilty as the indictment alleges against
him whereupon the prisoner was remanded to Jail

And now this Cause
Coming on to be heard, W.A. Hocker State
attorney prosecuting in the name and
by the authority of the State of Florida
and the prisoner Nelson Everett appearing
in open Court in his own proper person
as well as by Mess McCall & S.Y. Finley his
attorneys and now the prisoner being brought
to the Bar here under the Custody of
Samuel C. Tucker Sheriff of Alachua
County to which Sheriff he is also like
wise Committed and being forthwith de-
manded how he would acquit himself of
the Charge against him saith that he
is not guilty as the indictment alleges
against him, Whereupon the prisoner was
remanded to Jail

Charles W. Weltz } night time with intent to
} Commit a felony.
} S.Y. Finley appointed by
} Court
And now this Cause
