Fall Term A.D. 1884
Monday December 8th 1884 -
W.F. Grissom, Jno A. Rosborough - Ambrose Abbott,
J.W. Shackleford, Jno M. Williams Sr. who were
duly Sworn and empanelled to well and truly
try the issue between the State of Florida and
the Defendant according to the evidence
And the Jury aforesaid thereafter after hearing
the evidence; the argument of Counsel and the
Charge of the Court retired to consider of their
verdict and thereafter on the Same day came returned
into open Court and rendered the following
verdict to wit: We the Jury find the prisoner
Guilty of aggravated assault so say we all

Whereupon the Court adjourned until
tomorrow morning at nine Oclock

And now this Cause
coming on to be heard William A. Hocker
State attorney prosecuting in the name and
by the authority of the State of Florida and
the prisoner appearing in open Court in his own
proper person as well as by his Attorney S.Y.
Finley - And saith that he puts himself for
good and evil upon God and the Country for
trial whereupon a Jury was called and there
came: T.H. Cato, G.B. Townsend C.J. Mixson
D.G. Harvard, Benj Haile Jno D. Young who
were duly Sworn and empanelled to well and
truly try the issue between the State of Florida
and the Defendant according to the evidence
And the Jury aforesaid thereafter after hearing
the evidence the argument of Counsel and the
Charge of the Court retired to consider of
their verdict and thereafter on the same
