  Fall Term A.D. 1884
    Wednesday December 10th 1884
The Court met pursuant to adjournment of yesterday
his Honor Thomas F. King Judge presiding

State of Florida }  Hocker
         vs      }  Maliciously Killing a Cow
Amaziant Bryant  }  Goss & Dunson
                    And now this cause coming
on to be heard William A. Hocker State attor-
ney prosecuting in the name and by the authority
of the State of Florida and the prisoner appear-
ing in open Court in his own proper person as
well as by Goss & Dunson his attorneys and now
the prisoner being brought to the bar here under the
Custody of Samuel C. Tucker Sheriff of Alachua
County to which Sheriff he is also likewise Com-
mitted and being demanded how he would
acquit himself of the Charge against him saith
that he is not guilty as the Indictment alleges
and for good and evil he puts himself upon God
and the Country for trial whereupon a Jury was
called and there came: John A. Rosborough -
Jno M. Miller Sr. J.W. Shackleford - F.X. Miller
G.B. Townsend C.J. Mixson who were duly Sworn
and empanelled to well and truly try the issue
between the State of Florida and the defendant
and thereafter after hearing the evidence the
argument of Counsel and the Charge
of the Court retired to consider of their verdict
and thereafter on the same day returned into
open Court and rendered the following verdict
to wit: We the Jury find the prisoner guilty so
say we all   Jno M. Miller - Foreman.

State of Florida }  Hocker
       vs        }  Breaking and entering a building
Willie Johnson   }  in the night time with intent
                 }  to commit a felony.
                 }  And now this Cause Coming
on to be heard William A. Hocker state attorney
prosecuting in the name and by the authority of
the State of Florida and the prisoner appearing
in open Court in his own proper person
And now the prisoner being demanded how
he would acquit himself of the Charge against
him saith that he is guilty as the Indictment
